The Baytree Centre

Manager, Children & Youth Services

Challenging post for someone who cares about education for women and girls in Lambeth and is looking for a management opportunity in the voluntary/charity sector. In Baytree we teach English, IT, literacy and jobskills. This post focuses on our work with girls aged 8 - 16 from disadvantaged backgrounds and their mothers. It is also a deputy manager role supporting the work of the centre director and first deputy.

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join a small, dynamic team at The Food Chain to support the delivery of essential nutritional services to people living with HIV across London. This new fundraising and development role offers enormous potential for the right candidate, as they will have substantial input into shaping and implementing our fundraising strategy. Since Christmas Day 1988, nearly 400,000 meals have been delivered, along with a variety of additional nutrition-related services for people living with HIV.

The BCVS is a small active CVS working in a large geographical district covering the northern third of Nottinghamshire. It is a complex district which has close relationships with other neighbouring areas, in particular, South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire. The BCVS concentrates its work clearly on supporting a wide range of important rganisations and community initiatives in strong partnership, focusing on clear outcomes. We are looking for someone to lead our team with the following qualities:

• Integrity and credibility that inspires trust and commands the confidence and respect of trustees, staff, local communities and partners. • A track record of working across organizational boundaries, developing effective partnerships and enhanced performance. • A proven track record of managing successfully at a senior level, leading a multi-functional team. • A strong commitment to enhancing the local community.

Hours: 37 per week, however the post requires flexibility. Salary: £31,000 - £34,000.

The School for Social Entrepreneurs is the leading UK provider of learning programmes that support and develop social entrepreneurs: individuals working entrepreneurially to create social benefit. We are looking for a driven, dynamic individual to co-ordinate the development and sustainability of a Network of franchised, associate schools across the UK.

You will have a track record of fundraising or business development or project management, ideally in the third sector. You will demonstrate knowledge of the business support and have excellent communication skills.
