Media Training. This can range from 'dealing with the press' to using video equipment. See Media Trust entry under Media Support below. They also manage Media Resource Scotland with SCVO - details on SCVO's web site. CSV also provides media skills training.

• Empics seems to be Press Association's current photography marketing company.

• Third Avenue is a 'social sector' specialist photo library and agency. which has various How To guides in pdf (Acrobat) format.

Video, film, broadcast, podcast

• Big Umbrella Media appears to now be Cloudscape Communications. Not sure whether they still have a sector specialism

• GorillaVideo A small video production operation in London who use a 'docusoap' approach alongsideest lightweight digital equipment to create a type of video that they feel fits the values and messages of sector organisations. Email: rodney@gorillavideo.co.uk

• Grapevine video production for DVD and the web, from producer experienced in film and broadcast news (and voluntary sector) experience.

• Hillside Studios. Broadcast quality videos for charities, also CDROM production, for PR, fundraising or training. Phone 020 8950 7919.

• Kelpie Media is a video production company in Scotland "committed to the use of television and video in a wide social context". Also audio, web design etc. Sector clients get services at far below commercial rates and include SCVO, Turning Point, Meningitis Association Scotland.

• Magnificent TV (# site is in Flash) Have produced training and promotional films for a range of charities.

• Minamon Film/Video/DVD production company. Client list includes Sense, MIND, Age Concern England, Groundwork.

• Podcats produce RSPB Bird Notes audio podcasts.

• Podnosh can produce audio or video podcasts, and is working with the Birmingham Community Empowerment Network on the Grassroots Channel. Run by a professional with many years experience as a BBC documentary maker, film production is also available.
